Well, shizzle.
Apr. 15th, 2012 04:26 pmActual language in my head may be a bit stronger.
Emily woke up within the past hour or so with the post-op pain suddenly much worse. There's serious question about whether she'll be able to go back to school, and work, tomorrow (when it would be ideal) or even Tuesday (when it's kinda essential).
Eleanor's off to the pharmacy for some more clove oil- a nonprescription remedy she's sworn by for years. Em, meanwhile, is back on Planet Lortab and praying to avoid the meteoric side effects of that.
I have no frame of reference for this; I was subjected to the once-common orthodontic "four on the floor" procedure when I was maybe ten, with the promise that it would "make room" for the wisdom teeth. Indeed, it did; but it didn't "make them come in straight" or "make them easy to clean," and thus, all four turned into cavity magnets that got painlessly extracted in my forties when there was little left of any of them.
If I could turn back time, and share this pain, I would do so in a nanosecond.

Date: 2012-04-15 09:23 pm (UTC)Two days before then I was enjoying the combined effects of Tylenol with codeine washed-down with beer. Things got "interesting" when the Jehova's Witnesses knocked on the door. I managed to debate Biblical points successfully. One of them was talking about the "whorelet of Balylon" and all I could think of was an Arab in a red dress. Never thought much of the JW's intellect after then.

Date: 2012-04-15 10:54 pm (UTC)I was worried about mine, but hydrocodone meant sleep, and the rest I could deal with. All four, impacted, woohoo. The scarring has been a bit of an issue because I can get seeds caught in it, but otherwise its been good. I hope that Em will be on the up and up soon (not the drugged kind). Sending her good thoughts.

Date: 2012-04-15 11:26 pm (UTC)My ex had his taken out when he was in his mid-thirties, and didn't have quite as easy a time. He had dry sockets and had to go back to have that treated. Hope your baby will get along much better, very soon.
