That, apparently, is what I am:
Hosftra University has posted its list of List of Participating Scholars and Paper Topics for the 50th Anniversary of the Mets Conference next month (OMGnextmonth!).
That would be me, kinda near the back:

It's also pretty damned Amazin' company, just in that section of the list: lots of serious faculty types, an historian or two, a very good friend of mine, and at least one former pitcher for (as Lindsey Nelson used to say) these same New York Mets.
And his wife. But, far as I know, no movie stars, lots of Professors but nobody named Mary Ann.
This is starting to feel very real, and even more awesome. Thanks to the friends who have offered assistance with, or to beta the pap-ah, before I submit it, and I am SO looking forward to being such a tangible part of such an intangible and yet wonderful part of my own life.
----
In other publishing news, a shoutout to Eleanor's LJ Friend (as well as of several others of you, and now Friend of mine) booksforfood, who has just gotten good reactions to a YA manuscript she's been sending round. We share your happiness and look forward to the finished product:)
