Which began, yesterday, with a case of the Wednesdays. Just about everyone I talked to on the phone yesterday was damned TESTY. One caller demanded an immediate decision on a case which I haven't even confirmed to exist against my client, and, when I asked him to send proof that the papers had been properly served, he copped a gallon of attitude.
Next up: a collection agent from Georgia who proceeded to lecture me on New York corporate law relative to a matter on which I had seen exactly one page of documentation. I wanted to suggest something involving banjos and sheep, but I was a good boy and kept my mouth shut.
It didn't get much better after that. At least I'd gotten the business of new glasses out of the way the day before. #irony #sarcasm #foreshadowing
Probably should've made an appointment with an oprthopedist instead. Beginning last night, and well into this morning, my right knee started going off like the 4th of July- and I have no idea why. No weight work this week- class is off for the local school winter break- and I did a lighter than usual cardio run yesterday, but by feeding time this morning, I was hobbling to get down to the downstairs bowls. When the satisfied customers returned to cuddle with the zookeeper, I was amazed at kitteh prowess; there are well over 200,000 square inches of space in this house, and yet Tazzer managed to plant an unsheathed claw into the exact square inch of that knee setting off the greatest of pain.
So I surrendered, got up for a bit, and checked emails. Which included this deal from Living Social:
$250 to Spend on a Pair of Prescription Glasses
$50
80% savings
Yup, that's almost exactly the amount I spent on the glasses two nights before, and while insurance can't be combined with the deal, it still would've saved me at least a Benjamin. Yet all is not lost; Emily needs a new pair now, too, and I'm not sure if her school plan covers vision, so I think I'll get the deal anyway and pass it on to her.
As for the rest of today? Only one really testy individual, who I calmed down; the knee's feeling a little better (I've ibuprofened it and passed on cardio for the day); and tomorrow's Friday, which I'm definitely going to be having a case of #hic

A couple of people have mentioned getting an odd LJ message about "Uploading pictures does not available." I seem to recall a hack going around with this as the bait, so if you clicked it, I'd change passwords and underwear pronto- or all your base might not belong to your.
