Cheap reposting of Facebook updates

To le Wall:

Nooks are nice. Kindles are kool. But in the past three days, I've been shipped copies of actual hardcopy (if paperback) BOOKs which credit me as their editor, and that warms my heart far more than the same words in the body of an .epub file.

And to the Friends of Janice page, recalling her passing two years ago yesterday:

Early yesterday, I drove past the fork in the road that would take me either south to New York or north to Syracuse. My work, my family, my life pointed me north on 81, but a good bit of my heart wanted to head east on 17 and remember her friends, and family, and life, from this time two years ago. I am blessed with memories of her life and with friendships that endure over years and, yes, misdirected miles.

I love you, reader of these words; an important thing to say every time I can, because life is so fragile.
