Long day Monday. Almost as long today. Longer one still on tap tomorrow. Yet I can't let a July 23rd pass without acknowledging today as what this year would, and should, have been our oldest sister's 85th birthday.
Sandy was a working woman before its time, a juggler of a mother and a career when it was much harder even than it is today.
Her children and their children honor her memory each day. I never let a day pass without a song, or a remark, or a recollection bringing a litle piece of her back to life, even for only a moment.
We love you and miss you, Sandy.
