So leading off because today's a day we tried to Fixx things;)

Parts came in for our dishwasher, which had lost a couple of its wheelies on the top shelf where mama hides the cookies.  Eleanor got them back on and now that tray comes and goes much more easily.

She also did a lot more painting and prep work in the bathroom on her "day off." Not for a reappraisal, but just out of a feeling that it needed to be redone.

We feel the same way about the appraisal itself from last week. She called a realtor friend who lives near us and reported the amount the guy came back with. She heard Susan audibly gasp at how stupidly low it was. She told us they run addresses though three different metrics when people come in with new listings, and then drop the high and the low one. The middle was within $1000 of the target we'd been told we needed to hit.  The appraiser is not allowed to consider that per se,  since apparently realtors have a vested interest in pumping up prices, but he at least will get the supporting information.

I made people laugh today. That's always a good fix. Here's one from this morning that lasted for way more than four hours:

A group discussion today reminded me of my plan for repurposing bad 80s retail. They turned one of the old Marketplace Mall anchor stores in Rochester into a big medical building. Since malls are dying, I proposed they make over the whole place into medical practices. Old Navy Injury, H&M  for Hernia & Miniscus, Pain That Sears, Love Pinkeye and Victoria’s Secret UTI- and we’d just leave Dick’s the way it is.

And now all of this leads to sleep. GNight:)
