Yesterday morning, after reclaiming my car:
More than a few friends were offput, on account of either ladybugs or stinkbugs infesting their general directions. I still view it as a good luck charm. Deal.
----
That was yesterday. This morning, we both had to be out from before 8 until after 4:30, leading to this confrontation between a neighbor's wandering kitty and our living room patrol:
Ebony barked up a storm when Bandit first arrived, but left matters in the paws of our oldest, incontinent kitteh (mostly-white, center) once he got up on the Ottoman (I remember him, he used to be an Empire;).
The invader went home. My banging on the glass may've helped.

Court was 90-odd minutes later. My motion was denied, but oddly: I couldn't explain why we were seeking judgment for less than the papers supported. In time, I figured it out: defendant had been billed X, paid Y, leaving a balance of Z. My client mistakenly referenced the (smaller than Z) Y number. This we now know. I redid the papers and got him to re-sign them after the birthday lunch a few blocks away for me and one of my co-workers. She'd requested the birthday lunch at a Japanese Hibachi place near the client's store. It's been ages since I'd been at the tableside Hibachi restaurant schtick: Samurai Chef, lighting the grill on fire 15 feet into the air, then tossing samples of egg fried rice into our mouths, then getting the veggies (including the peeled-onion volcano) and the meats perfectly to our orders despite there not being a meat thermometer in sight. Nobody died of salmonella or harikari, and by nightfall I was walking the dog and also showing Eleanor the oddest photo from my downtown travels of the day:
There's an actual DBA filed by three suburban white guys from near Rochester using that name. They probably have no idea how self-mocking they are:P
