Great Art!

A couple of unexpected pieces arrived in the past few days. Let me show you them.

I was in Wegmans the other day and went to pay with cash. That was when I saw this among the bills in my wallet:

At first, I thought the bill had been Spocked. I'd heard about that being fairly common on the Canadian fiver, but then I noticed the glasses.  My friend [livejournal.com profile] oneeyeddaruma clued me to the meme:

Hipster Abe Lincoln.

The cashier loved it and tried to get me to use it for the purchase, but the bills didn't work out to do that.  Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, the customer service was fine.

----

Then more showed up today- and it's a mystery.

I'd seen pictures of this online a few months ago, and probably either posted it on Facebook or commented on somebody's posting of it. It's the perfect wall clock for people who don't have to worry about what time it is:

When I got home just before 6 today, after a fairly long haul of time and distance, there was a package from something called society6- and a note on the shipping receipt saying "Thank you for everything you do and for the amazing friend you are!"

I had a couple of likely suspects. I j'accused. They denied doing it. So now I'm stumped. I've done the occasional nice thing, often involving tickets (whether purchasing them or fixing them), but....

::now just wait a darned minute::

Stay tuned. I should have this figured out in a few minutes. Not that I'd ever know when time's up;)

In any event, it's going on the new office wall. I'll post the framed version from there tomorrow, along with a Flashback Friday piece I put up in there the other day.

And,.... I've busted my benefactor. Thanks again, dear ::hugs::
