Another Errandy Day
May. 12th, 2015 09:46 pmConfirmed a gig with a new client. Checked in on another potential referral and found it on hold.
Had a scheduled first appointment with a third, which sounded kinda sketchy during the initial phone call, and it proved to be a NSNC in the lingo (no show/no call).
Got papers dumped on me nine days before their scheduled hearing (the absolute minimum is eight), but pretty sure it can be put off.
Then the practice of law stopped. Got the keyboard replaced on this computer. It's so much better; should probably just order a few and learn how to put them in.
Next, dealt with the other kind of suits. All four of them were in- two ready to come home, the other two needing alterations, which they got. Will be wearing the first of the new ones tomorrow. Between that and the glasses, they might not recognize me.
Ended the day with the Showtime Sunday doubleheader of blackish comedies that nobody else seems to like or care about: Nurse Jackie and Happyish. The latter seems to piss off the Brits because Steve Coogan isn't Alan Partridge enough, and the Murkins because it makes fun of the sacred turf of Mad Men. Never watched the latter and have no real desire to try to even taste it before it ends next weekend.
