Chorses, Preciouses....
May. 9th, 2015 03:20 pmBeen a busy Saturday. I actually got to my first weight workout at 8:30 this morning. On the way home, I picked up the new glasses. I don't do selfies as a rule, but every new pair of peepers seems a suitable occasion:
After that, I came home to a busy Eleanor: she'd evicted the rat who's been tearing up the yard since winter; moved the decorative birdcage to the driveway in hopes of luring Albert the Pigeon into our care; and resumed demolition of the 50-year old adhesive stuck on the backsplash behind the cooktop.
I joined in the latter until it was time to deal with my car. I've been overdue for an oil change, which Kermit nags endlessly about; but a few days ago he also popped a CHECK EMISSIONS code which they'll diagnose. I suspect it's the heavy walking boot gorking the computer; that thing makes it very hard to accelerate.
Once out of here, it's some quick runs to Wegmans and to pick up a new hummingbird feeder; maybe to pick up the suits they tailored and measure for the ones they didn't. And then home, which I might not leave at all tomorrow. Eleanor's M-day pressie is ordered, and hopefully we'll have Albert joining us in the house by then. We WILL need to come up with a story for him about the free-range chickens in the freezer, though;)

ETA. The check engine code is a relatively benign one, quite possibly related to the boot driving. They'll clear it, and I'm not driving with it anymore, so we'll see how it does.
