From a Distance

Since I've spent much of the past two days ranting about things happening in a state I've never been to, I thought I'd end the day, and month, with some nice things to say about things that happened this weekend in a state, town, even hotel that I've been to more than once:)

I've attended and participated in sci-fi cons where people I knew were attendees, panelists, even performers. But friends were instrumental in organizing and putting on this past weekend's ReGeneration Who convention, at the same Maryland hotel that's hosted the past two Augusts' Shore Leaves I've been at. Kara - princesskraehe round here- was one of the main people at the helm, and while I wasn't there for it, I'm proud as hell of the work she, and all of her Companions, did to bring several Doctors, endless entertainment and a ton of good stuff to life.

One of the most touching moments of the whole program is captured here- as their ASL translators gave a demonstration of how to sign some of the more important words from the Whoniverse:
