No Foolin'.
Apr. 1st, 2014 08:46 pmGot to spend about an hour with the kids and the new kitteh today. Arthur's still pretty overwhelmed by all the new sights and sounds (and probably smells, especially when the seven of us, i.e., me and the other six residents of this house on my clothes) walked in at 2 this afternoon. He's curious and playful but not quite up to being overtly cuddled at this point.
I asked what they knew about his history- was he a longterm shelter kitten, a stray, a turn-in? Turns out to be one of at least two from the same litter that got taken from a hoarder house- his brother, named Panthro (I didn't recognise the reference, but you probably do), was actually the first one to seek them out at Lollypop Farm, but he seemed more skittish than Arthur when he came along and basically bonded with Emily on the spot.
He and Gwenny are getting supervised together time, and no real atomic wars have broken out. They're still separating them when they're both out of the apartment.

I'm recording the Rifftrax National Geographic three-hour mini-marathon as we speak. Glad THAT turned out to be real and not a fool.

Got half a pint of blood out of a stone today, with another half-pint reserved for later transfusion. Tomorrow I have three court appearances in three different cities, 400 miles and five hours apart, but I won't have to leave this desk to cover them all. What a thoroughly modern way of doing things:)
