*  I took my car to my mechanic today to find out how much damage the glass shop had done. Answer: about Two Fitty worth. I thereupon headed back to Glass Lady, estimate in hand,  to reschedule the repair for later on Thursday- which would have been after our regular mechanic repaired the wiper assembly first thing that day.  We're not responsible for that, GL said. Oh, I think you are, and I presume YOU have insurance for it, I replied.  Fitteen minutes later, they sent out the poor schnook who broke the nut, to tell me they'd cover it, but as part of their own repair (i.e., they'll likely overcharge my insurance for the cost of the glass to cover their extra cost of repairing what they broke. Long as it's free, I don't much care.)

* Also, I forgot one delicious ::koff:: moment from my most recent weekend worrying about our oldest dog. She's been doing much better generally since the heat wave broke, but Eleanor reminded me that on Friday, at the heart of the heat wave and not long after the worst of Tasha's pre-Rainbow Bridge symptoms, she waddled down into our cellar to feast at the Catbox Crunchy snack bar- and seemed to have little, if any, trouble, getting back up those dozen steps despite seeming to fail at taking three-at-a-time from the back yard earlier in the day.  I've been giving her extra cuddles at every turn today, and she's looking at me as if to say, Yo! What's YOUR problem?  Hopefully, one that won't recur until well into Hillary Clinton's first term:)

* My left knee has been hurting like a mofo all day today, despite my not having had a Leg Day in class for over a week. No idea what's set it off; oddly, doing seven miles of cardio on an elliptical today didn't make it any worse (or better).I suspect it's just Teh Old catching up with me, as a morning full of petitions and proceedings will do.

* I've finished reading my friend Kate Danley's latest book, the One Wot I Named. I owe a review of same, along with perhaps some other comments on udda thingza I've finished recently. Hang in there, friends- Friday's comin':)
