- Is there any reason Tatiana Maslany isn't getting serious buzz for an Emmy? A Juno? A Golden Globe? Hell, find at least seven of them for her because she's coming back every week playing at least that many roles in the same 44-minute window of Orphan Black.  They are so different in temperament, in knowledge of the situation, and in having to remember the dynamic of each one's role and relationships.  This past week's took the initial premise up a notch, where Soccer Mom started playing Sarah while Sarah was busy playing Beth, confronting Blondie and being stalked by Ski Cap.

It's also intriguing trying to figure out who knows what about who- and the Sarah-child angle on that took a sudden and sweet turn at the end of Episode 4.

This last one was definitely darker than the three which preceded it- we won't be eating dinner during anything that intense- but it's still holding our interest as it nears next week's halfway point.

- A couple of entries back, I briefly referenced a couple of pages from Carl Reiner's recent memoir I Remember Me. I'm now almost done with it, and there's so much more good stuff in those pages.

Not so good, the typography. At least a few pages had a line of text cut off at the top of a succeeding page. You don't want to miss anything with material this good.  His tales of his brief involvement in the Red Scare of the 50s, of adopting animals from the 50s forward, and of all the stars he interacted with, many of them showing unseen and touching sides of them- all make his Me something you will remember for a long time.

- One thing I won't be reviewing is my own paper for the Mets conference. It was due on April 15th, and with all the angst of that day surrounded by nearly eight hours of work out of town, I couldn't pull together the energy or the spark to do the edits and pass on the permissions. Maybe this weekend, I'll throw myself on the mercy of the faculty and try submitting it late.  Hey- not like they can take anything off my grade, right?
