How Long Is It?
Oct. 11th, 2011 07:13 pm(a) That's rather a personal question, Sir.
(b) Oh, did you mean the day? Long, for both of us. Eleanor thought she had a 9:30 doctor's appointment here, which turned out to be much later in the morning, but she was still up and ready to go much earlier than usual for her; she's now crashed, from all that, a lot of cleaning up round here, and probably the aftereffects of a sinus infection, as well. Meanwhile, I did have an 11:00 dental appointment in Rochester, which meant leaving here at about the same time as she was scheduled to; after that, there followed two other client appointments, a stop at Emily's, a return to the office, banking and such, and after all that I didn't get me home until close to 6, with plenty of catch-up to do since then.
(c) The abstract is now a bit abstracter. Thanks to all who commented with Veddy Good Ideas; I've got it down to a pithier 355 words including title and byline, with most of the anecdotal stuff gone from it. One last sleeping on-it, and then tomorrow it goes:)
Happy belated Givings of Canadian Thanks and Pillagings of Indigenous North American Populations:)
