As soon as that "hockey mom" joke started making the rounds last week, the pig joke was the first thing I thought of. Of COURSE you use the pig joke to defuse the lipstick line as an effective campaigning sound bite. That's why the wingnuts are so mad; the inexperienced, shallow, rockstar Democrat (not to be confused with their inexperienced, shallow rockstar) took a slogan away from them.

And before they sling a caseload of Maybelline at him for doing so, let's note a few other facts. Before this kerfuffle, you know whose name came up as the #1 Google result for use of the lipstick-on-a-pig joke?
