I recall mentioning, only a few weeks ago, how fortunate we all were that McDonalds had named its signature artery-stuffing product after company founder "Mac" McDonald and not his brother Dick.

Now, it seems, not everyone felt the same way about this revelation.

I met a new potential client referral source yesterday in the fashionable eastside suburban Rochester enclave of Victor. Driving back to the city from this meeting on the main commercial drag in those parts, I passed one of the dozens of strip plazas which have grown like topsy around the anchoring Eastview Mall.

"Strip plaza" may be taken more literally than you might think:



Sorry about the quality; it was my first shot ever with a cell phone camera, and I've yet to figure out the zooming capabilities. Yet, there they are- a KMart, anchoring a plaza with a sporting goods store.

Not an ordinary KMart, mind, but not quite the splendor of a SuperK. No, in the parlance of the trade, this K is merely

BIG

and joined, perhaps a bit too tightly, with the sporting goods store, which happens to be named



I've spent the whole morning trying to shake this sudden new meaning of the term "he shoots, he scores!"
