Pimps and Ho's
Mar. 1st, 2007 11:42 amI'll start by putting on the bigass feathered hat:
Since the group has come up in comment-versation twice already today, I may as well shout em out to everyone: Girlyman has a new album!
Well, sort of. It's on presale at their website, but only through tomorrow; 25 bucks gets the music, the postage and packing, signatures from the band (and this band gives good signature, as shows on this their last one:)

and your very own Girlykiss on the disk. After tomorrow, you'll need to either wait for the unannounced national release date, or score a copy at one of their shows. Said shows of possible interest to people here?
March 23-24, Club Passim, Harvard Square (not sure, but I think that's in Massachusetts;)
April 15th, Mississippi Studios in Eugene OR (yes, you, I think you'd like them);
May 10, Highline Ballroom NYC (hmmmm....Mets are home the next night....)
----
As for the whorage, well, we have quite a list going there:
ABC, who I'm still pissed at for moving the Lost start time and is now making me endure an hour of hiccups and online ads to catch up with last night's;
Byron Brown, the mayor of Buffalo, who surreptitiously supported a hack candidate in a three-way primary last year to split the white vote so his homey could get in, and has now not only given the hack a $46,000-a-year city job but had the chutzpah to pretend he knew nothing about it;
People using their kids as collateral. Fast on the heels of yesterday's story about a Pakistani parent losing his kid in a poker game, now we get this one in which a woman in Colorado was charged with selling her baby to make a down payment on a used car. I can just imagine Billy Fuccillo getting in on this action, offering the huggggggest trade-in values for the biggest babies.
The Pittsburgh Steelers team physician, implicated in this week's bust of a Florida online steroid lab, who claims he bought $150,000 worth of roids on his personal credit card for the use of his "private patients." Uh huh. I guess the Walgreens was closed that night.
Good thing I've got this mellow music on or I'd really be cranky right about now;)
