Tuesdays with Morrie- or with Ray's dogs if he's not in

I should forget stuff more often. The consultation went beautifully. Nice people, we connected and I think I got the gig.

Now if only I could get an appointment to fix my gorram flat any sooner than 8 tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, this exchange occurred on my arrival home from the earlier meeting:

Ray- ::pulls into garage, closes door, walks into house::

Dogs- ::dead silence for at least ten seconds::  then WOOFWOOFBARKBARKGROWLSNARLSNEERWOOFWOOFREPEAT

Ray- The huh?!?

Eleanor- Oh, the UPS truck just went by outside. They see it as a variation on the Daily Mailman Threat, and they figure, hey, we bark at him and he goes away, so it probably works on the guy in the brown shorts, too.

Ray (to dogs)- That makes no sense whatsoever.

Dogs (looking hurt)- Oh yeah? Well, how many cars have YOU chased today?
