captainsblogThe Interwebs took a major blast of white Canadian air the other night as site after site recounted the glorious spectacle of Jeopardy!'s Alex Trebek running an entire category of rap lyrics:
The timing was impeccable, since seeing these references reminded me that it was time for my annual failed trip to Trebekistan. I've been taking the online test for years, most years knowing instantly that I'd failed. Last year, the first where they announced a probable Buffalo audition site, I broke through the past troubles, but soon after the test was given my then-backup email provider died like a ded thing and any notifications of audition opportunities went off to Who Was Jesus?
This year, I remained determined- if a little cynical. When I took the three-question computer-check test the other night, I got my Irish up- or, rather, my Scottish:
Despite such indiscretion, I was allowed to sign on moments ago, and I think I broke the mythical 35-correct barrier again. And yes, there was even a rap question among the 50.
So if I'm randomly selected, Baby will Got to go to Back Bay for the in-person audition. Don't hold your breath in the form of a question, though.
