Teeth and Ted

My only fixed appointment of the day was a teeth cleaning. I almost blew it off for the third straight time since, again, it wound up being my only out-of-town engagement on a day I was already on the road for two other days.  But I'm glad I kept it, because what to my wondering eyes did appear, outside my longtime Rochester dentist's office, but Iggy's longlost girlfriend....



Even though I saw her in Rochester, she came from the same dealership as Iggy did, so I'm going to have to check to see if our salesperson can get the lovebirds together;)

Teeth are sound, for now.  I have some estimates on fixing some chipped teefs that can either be bonded or replaced with crowns.  Fortunately, my sleeping with a football-player-style mouth guard has cut down on the chipping, but I will eventually need to fix the pre-guard damage that got done.

Driving to the dentist, I got to hear the long-overdue news of changes in Sabreland.  The team's longtime general manager finally got his ass fired, as did his near-clone of a head coach, the rookie who replaced longtime benchhead Lindy Ruff not quite a year ago.  Ted Nolan, the Sabres' 1996-97 NHL coach of the year, is being brought back as coach, at least for now, to try to unmuddle the massive muddle of talents and attitudes left behind by the just-sacked GM and coach.  It's the best news we've had from the arena in years, and it unleashes the one remaining thing- hope- that had been stuck inside Pandoura's Box back when it got slammed shut on us three years ago.

Turning in  soon. Tomorrow's that third straight day of travel (but none to follow for at least a week:).

We're really excited to see the changes that the new/old coach will make to the Sabres. And I'd love to hear RJ give LaFontaine a proper "Welcome back" to the Sabres. :)
