Just another day at the office. And construction site, too.

I had three appointments scheduled today, plus two big projects that have been haunting. The earliest of the former begged out before I left the house, but I wound up filling the time helping out with the next stage of the reno....

It was time to dislodge the bathroom sink.  There simply was no other way to get to the tile behind it, and it also required that all the water be shut off at the main because that sink doesn't have shutoff valves.  First, though, Eleanor got practicing with the tool that would cut the tiles to size around the pipes and brackets. Also, with the safety equipment she ordered because it kicks up a lot of toxic dust:

I tried coming up with a suitable Darth Vader reference. Best I could come up with was Now witness the power of this fully armed and operational bathroom station, but that was actually Emperor Palpatine. Oh well.

Once the water was shut off, the sink moved off its retaining bolts pretty easily-

- and I finished up most of First Project while she repaired to the Death Garage to cut the needed tiles.  An hour later, the sink was back in place-

- and the water lines reconnected.  The drain's leaking a little, but we're not using that sink anyway with everything else going on.

----

I didn't get the rest of the information I needed on Second Project until I was up against the remaining appointments, so I worked on other things in the office once I got there- but it was way more uncomfortable than usual. I was sweating onto the desk, and as soon as we turned the water back on, I'd cleaned up before going in!  I ran some errands, headed back to get ready for the first remaining appointment, and then noticed the thermostat for our AC zone in the office was showing 78F.  Our building's probably of a similar early 60s age to our house, and the landlord often has to send people over to fix things, usually pretty quickly. Still, when I needed to spread out paperwork in the conference room, that zone was working fine.

Turned out to be the thermostat. Like ours at home, it's programmed to setback at night; unlike ours at home, it also sets back on the weekend, and someone or something had caused it to be displaying SU 5 p.m., a time on the weekend when being set to 78F makes perfect sense.  I reprogrammed it to reality, and by the time I finished with both clients and a final annoying project, it was back down to comfort levels.

----

Tomorrow, I have only one appointment, the one remaining Project, and, I don't know, maybe I'll make the Kessel Run in under 12 parsecs, whatever the hell THAT means;)

Hahahaha

Have I ever mentioned that I just LOVE Eleanor? :D

And your Star Wars references aren't too shabby, either. LOL
