Speaking of Smarts....
Mar. 11th, 2021 07:18 pmHey, don't look at me. Pride wenteth before my fall, I lost yesterday's match and am now down to fourth out of 26 and dropping like a stone.
But this was the image at the end of my day today:
♫ We’re Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Smart Cars Band.... ♫
Lonely, simply because they don't make them anymore, at least not for US sale, so they're a dwindling breed. I was encouraged to see that the one on JARVIS's left was a 2009, seven years older than mine. I have just over a year and a half to pay on him and I'm then hoping for as many payment-free years as I can manage.
The image I ended yesterday with was somewhat odder.
----
From Beatles to Brown we go:
♫Zoey's got a brand new bag ::guitar riff::♫
Well, a brand new basket, to be precise.
The new dynamics without Evil Cat around the house have, we think, made everyone more comfortable here, but everybody needs a little me time.
After my long day yesterday, I went to toss dirty clothes into my hamper and saw it was tilted against the wall. I slid it back. It was heavy.
Then a furry little face popped out.
Going on twelve years, Zo has NEVER picked that place to hide. Plus, if you got up close and personal with my used socks, chances are you wouldn't, either.
But hey- she uses a catbox.
After I turned lights off, I heard scratching. Not at the door. At the closet containing that hamper.
She wanted to get back in.
After the whole vaccine thing yesterday, my dear? I can relate. Stinky socks and all.
----
Far as the vaccine itself, I had no real reaction as such. Just tired. That was more likely caused by the refi the travel the weather change the dead cat the relief bill the 300 other things you can’t vaccinate against.
Make it 301, plus one more for every client of mine. Apparently a side effect of the Moderna is that it makes your crazy clients come out of the woodwork. I cannot spare details for ethical reasons, but suffice it that I got some texts and calls that tested even my patience and credulity even after all these years of having them built up.
----
Now to wait for today's Learned League results and watch the animals doing windsprints through the house as the second day of Fake Spring has us opening the windows, for Bronzini probably the first time he's experienced fresh air.
And if that's too much for Zoey, I haven't done laundry yet and the closet door is wide open;)
