'Tis But A Scratch.... Of The Surface....

captainsblogWe each spent some time today looking back at the events of the past week. I said my Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit at the stroke of midnight Monday to encourage good karma. Apparently I didn't multiply enough of them, because in the next six days, we then went through:
- The beginning of Yet Another Refi, with all the paperwork, computer snafus and miscommunications (between us and the bank and between each other) about various aspects;
- The cancellation of my vaccine appointment last week and my resulting return to playing Vacc-a-Mole, that at least got the thing moved from April to three days from now, still 200 miles away (see this piece from today's paper which I should return to discussing, because it confirms I'm not the only one to get this runaround);
- Work being more stressful than usual, what with Wednesday's blown video appearance, Friday's hospital runaround and then two Saturday clients, the same ones involved in both, who will both be featuring in events of the two days before my vaccine voyage;
- Oh, and we spent part of Saturday burying the cat. We're still getting all kinds of sympathy from people, including a card on our Sunday dog walk which featured a kitten image that was a dead ringer for Boz, the last one we buried (and we actually liked).
Some or all of these themes will repeat in days to come, but for now I'll just note that the refi paperwork from today included the following:
Yup, our bank (and apparently most in the industry) use a service called Black Knight to process online applications. After the week we just had, it's all we can hope for that we make it through this process with nothing more serious than a flesh wound:
