"Bless Her Heart."
Jan. 30th, 2021 10:02 amEven diehard Northest-of-the-Northerners like me know that's what you say in the South to (or about) someone who is so full of shit it comes off on their Q-tips when they clean their ears.
For four years, we had such a shitpile living in our prime rental space at 1600, but since he had trouble forming complete sentences, the full extent of his shit on the brain never actually came out through the mouth and had to be inferred. Now, the mantel of heartblessery has been picked up by a Congresswoman from Georgia, who has combined FPT's worst traits with a far uglier trail of past complete sentences.
I give you Marjorie Taylor Greene:
Here (for now, anyway until she deletes it, which she does a lot) is that full tweet. What she means by "my time before running for political office" is "those times I spouted bizarre conspiracy theories, confronted a teenage survivor of the Parkland shooting on a street and harangued him about being part of a false flag, threatened sitting members of Congress with public execution, and that was before my first sway tay of the day."
(I'm assuming the sweet tea part. She IS from Georgia, yall.)
The argument seems to be that we can't examine anything she ever said or did before assuming office, and/or we should blame the "teams of people" who put excrement out in her name that is now stinking up her Twitter feed and not her.
But that tweet was from Tuesday, and its craziness pales in comparison to what has come out from her past pronouncements in just the last couple of days. It began with her Facebook post laying out her original California wildfire theory being exposed:
If you didn't know (and you're blessed, nonironically, if you didn't), "Rothschild" is anti-Semitic code for one of the Sekrit Jewish Cabals that are running the country with all their hook-nosed pound-of-flesh-procured money.
So, yeah, you thought the wildfires were caused by those stupid liberal Californians not raking up the forests enough? Hell no- it was Secret Jewish Space Lasers!
My first thought in response was this, which came shortly after sundown last night.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has clarified her offensive remark:
She meant to say it was a REFORM Secret Jewish Space Laser, which IS allowed to start wildfires on Shabbos.
But before long, the better replies began arriving. Such as this-
(I was more worried that this thing could put mohels out of business;)
- and these-
- and you didn't think you'd keep HIM away, did you?
She's now done the one thing that can get a crazy Republican in trouble for being crazy: revealed her hidden anti-Jew card. This is not to be confused with the pro-Israeli Government card that she carries and displays proudly. They are not the same, any more than FPT can be excused of his blatant pandering to actual modern-day Nazis because some of his best in-laws are Jewish. There's serious consideration of removing her from House committee assignments, and a vote will likely come on whether to expel her ass (it takes two-thirds to do it, so good luck).
As this bizarre but strangely supported movement continues to attract nutjobs like this, I've found myself wondering: how did we obliterate Naziism from Germany (and to a lesser extent, racist Empirical adherents from Japan)? However we did it, we did a good job. I then answered my own question: WE did it because WE made them. We were a conquering army and dictated their terms of surrender, and forcing them to give up their ideology, and symbols (from the swastika to the Rising Sun flag), and leaders, was essential to the healing process. So when anyone talks about "unity" being more important than cleansing, I have three words for them:
Bless your heart.

I welcome a new reader today, and since this is the first entry since then, I should probably state my own views on religion. My tag line remains viable: I was born in a Catholic hospital, was raised a Methodist, but grew up three blocks away from a Conservative shul. This likely explains my lifelong Confusionism.
To that, I would add that Eleanor and I both left Methodism at around the same time about seven years ago- her more from seeing the utter hypocrisy of the people in the pews on Sundays compared to their actions in the Wegmans aisles and registers the other days of the week, mine more theoretical as the national denomination became more and more homophobic and intolerant and our local church resisted my repeated efforts to take a stand in opposition to it. She has since discovered a branch of Buddhism known as Nichiren, SGI iteration, American division (don't push anyone off a bridge, please;). I remain an unrestricted, unsigned free agent; I tried the Practice a few times and it doesn't work for me, reached out to some less Bible-up-their-ass Christian people and didn't connect, and am fine for now just making my own bathtub-gin blend of being kind, being tolerant and not making any ultimate decisions about what to believe.
At least until the bus shows up.
