captainsblogI could use a do-over of today.
Work was one of the least productive days in recent memory: I left early today for a 10:00 appointment in Rochester that was a train wreck by 9:30 (the client called in at 9 after "doing research" about the subject of the meeting over the weekend and the promised meeting never occurred), and I didn't get to leave for home until a promised-by-early-afternoon appointment failed to show up until close to 3:30. In between, there was no wireless for me (until I literally jiggled the router), no CFO to go over numbers with, and just bunches of misfires on many cylinders.
I'm now back here the next two days, which will help.

Based on numerous recs, I've begun marathoning Night Vale from the beginning. Three eps per Rochester trip seem a good quantity until I'm caught up.

Showtime has kissed and made up with Time Warner, so Dexter will be back in the house for the final three eps. It was stupidly amazing that it took them until close to a day after the settlement to put up a subscription link for the channel. Since I only watch it an hour a week anyway, I think I'll likely wait until the weekend to click that link.

Eleanor has moved our outdoor mosquito-eater goldfish into the living room tank. Its only occupant, Troy (a hand-me-up from the kids) went to Toilet Heaven last week, and we now have two more orangely visible ones in there. One has a black Mohawk atop his crown, leading to both Moe Howard and Mr. T jokes.

After this story, I think I need to Netflix the DVD of Clue.
