I took Iggy out this morning for my first highway-driving trip- out to the main town library, after first going to my 10 a.m. workout and showing him off to the class.  I was so wound up about my Big Electric Gizmo, I completely forgot to charge the phone. Fortunately, someone else had a cord, so I plugged the phone into the car's USB port, and.... nothing. He has to be on for the accessories to work. So, for most of an hour, he was- and I swear he had a higher charge on his meter after that than he did when I got there.

Then it was up to Audubon (the residential/office park planned community I first moved to here 30-odd years ago- Donna will remember it for the crazy old roommate with the primordial waffle iron), via the 290 and 990. That sucker moves when you open him up- and quiet except for the road under your wheels and the AC running.  I stopped at the assisted living place that our neighbor Sally moved to; she's been making a bit of fun about him (so small! is it safe?), but as usually happens, it was love at first sight once he actually pulled up in front of her.

Or rather, love at first 'stache:

Oy, we just birthed our baby last week, and already he's shaving!

He will need more than a shave, though. That paint's melting in this oppressive heat, so Eleanor's going to have to think of some other paint type.  Nothing to be ashamed of, though; after all, DaVinci failed in an early attempt at fame, having his patron reject his first version of what he called the Mona Mona.

Probably because La Gioconda kept worrying about the creeper on the other side of the medicine chest:
