So can I do that?

That's what I'm here to find out. ("Here"= the UBMD Orthopod Praectice, early this afternoon.) Three weeks and a day since my Brush With Stupid, they've just re-Xrayed my foot and I'm waiting for the doctor to read from the Toe-rah.

It's felt fine for a week. I've gone whole days withoot the boot, mainly days when I'm driving. It's near certain that both of the booty things were messing with my car computer and blowing emission codes; haven't had it happen once since going back to regular footwear.

The bruising is completely gone, and what little pain there ever was, isn't. They just took three more Xray's, the one on the monitor in this treatment room being the only one that doesn't show whether or how it's healed.

So we wait.

----

Home. Much later. Night.

We didn't wait much longer. Doc came in, looked at the x-ray, and in a fit of medical expertise said I was doing better. He still recommended three more weeks in one or the other of the boots.

Considering how many of my "patients" take MY advice, I don't feel the least bit guilty about shorting his by a week. Or three.

More pictures in mid-June. Cleared for most activity except the stupidest (things which, given my age and coordination I shouldn't be trying to do anyway). I think I largely survived this Fractured Fairy Tale.

YAY! This is good news. Those boot things are just the pits.
