First day since Sunday that I didn't stick my ass behind the wheel of a car for more than six hours.  I got close to eleven hours of sleep (in a couple of installments), which evened out my getting barely five hours of shuteye after the Monday night game.

Which, yeah, I will eventually get to rounding up pictures and such for a post about.  Lifetime, the Mets have a bad record with me in attendance, but they won that night in my presence, as well as last night, and are doing well at Al-Yanquizera Stadium tonight- PUT IT IN THE BOOKS!

Fortunately, yesterday's drive home on company time was relatively quiet from a work standpoint, and today resulted in two annoying things being adjourned, two detail-oriented files being almost finished, and yet another swing in our wacky weather that's had us flipping from AC to heat and back again.

Back to the gym, back to getting our finances in order post-refi, and back to Wegmans runs. I'll leave you with a story about the latter, where the chain once again redeemed itself a few days ago; my repast at my favorite upstate deli included a read of Ithaca's alt-weekly, which included this tale, about

...a Cayuga Medical Center nurse who had her car broken into during a visit to Ithaca Falls lastweek. In the vehicle was her backpac, which contained all of her nursing equipment, as well as medical supplies for her to care for her Type 1 diabetes- essential to prevent a serious medical condition.

...Ithaca police who responded to the scene called ahead to Wegmans to have her diabetic supplies replaced, and the store's pharmacy did not charge her to replace what had been stolen.

I've no idea if that cost Danny and Colleen a buck or a Benjamin, or anywhere in between, but I know from my own experiences with their people that they do put people first in such situations.  Every day we get their best, indeed:)

That was nice of them. It's the real people of America who make American great, not the corporate folks.
