♫Sign, sign, everywhere a sign....♫
Oct. 14th, 2014 08:23 pmLet's be blunt: this workday sucked.
Part was from the extended community hangover from yet another Bills loss to New England two days ago; part from the usual 4-in-5 phenomenon of having 20 percent more work/mail/banking to do each day after a Monday holiday; and part just because everyone (outside my immediate co-workers) acted nasty and brutish in my dealings with them today.
It took two separate trips into the belly of the beast that is downtown to get one thing accomplished, and it pretty much ate my entire day. By the time I got the last signature on the last piece of paper, I was mean, and miserable, and ready to get the hell out of Dodge.
That's when I saw a speck of dirt atop my transmission shifter. I went to flick it away, and realized, seeing it against the better background of my empty passenger seat,
You're not a speck of dirt.

It's been unusually, unseasonably warm the past few days, and little guys like this one have been coming out all over, confused about wherever they'd planned on hibernating. I texted that picture to Emily right before leaving, and she replied that she and Cameron have been seeing them, too- including one that got into her ear;)
So no matter how bad it all seems to be, there's nothing like a little bit of orange and black to chase it away. Just ask those stupid St. Louis Cardinals:)
