They moved Eleanor's surgery time today from 7-something to 9:10 this morning. Yay! More sleepytime, right?

Sure.

It's now 10:15, and unlike last Monday's 7 a.m. cattle call where she got right in, she's been stuck here with me in the waiting room, all full up, with the following amenities:

- (1) a yakkety yakking tv, all Oscars all the time; - (2) nothing.

That's about it. No wifi, no coffee or even water she can drink (and, having sampled the coffee with powdered creamer, I can assure her she ain't missing anything).

I at least have the phone and earbuds to ward off this room full of cranky old evil spirits.

Eleanor just moved to the coatroom, to get away from the tv and the bitching. Which, I now realize, I'm doing, too.

This results will be worth it. The results will be worth it....

---

10:42-- Eleanor just got called in. This is good. Nick Lowe's "Cruel to Be Kind" just came on my WRUR stream. That pretty much sums up the past 90 minutes.

----

11:47. Down to three waiters in the waiting room. Which one, of course, has taken as her license to start gabbing on her mobile.

Just saw a post about another United Methodist witch burning of a gay-ally minister being dismissed. Not postponed, not prosecuted to persecution. Dismissed. As these all should be.

Some good things DO come to those who wait.

Including herself, herself. She's done and we should be out of here within the half-hour:)

---- 3:46 p.m. Final. We're home. Her surgery went fine; some other person's, not as well, taking close to two hours and with much stress on the medical staff. We can see clearly now:)
