captainsblogIt's been seven years of mostly good luck since I last took a crack at the insanity that is NaNoWriMo-
I'd toyed with reviving a story idea that's kicked about, in various forms, since Emily was in high school, but to do it right, in its most recently constructed form, would take at least a week of research beyond the current bounds of my brain.
The Brand New Idea, which came to me in the feeding/dreaming hours between 4-ish and 6 this morning, requires none of that. I KNOW much of what there is to know, and the rest is easily accessible. There's a defined beginning and the makings of a middle. As with my last attempt, I have no idea where the end is going, but I know from that effort that it will take me there entirely on its own.

ellettra, the only LJ regular I know for sure to be doing it this year. She likes it; hey Mikey! So we'll both be marching, marching to 50K beginning sometime after midnight.
Anyone else who's on board can follow me at the same name there. Only there's no there there yet; it's still October.
