Go have fun, they used to say.  Several times a day when LJ tossed its cookies and I wound up logged out of my account. I'd get a login page, followed by the "go have fun" directive.

For a week or two, it seemed better. Now, though, I just get logged out, and can go hours without noticing unless I try to comment (which will reveal the lack of login) or see a public but adult-content entry that then displays the minor-niner warning.

One consequence is that I may be missing some friends-only stories altogether, so if you expected a comment and didn't get one, blame the damn goat.

I may wind up going back to Chrome and seeing if it's any better there.

Login  to LJ is still impossible through Safari on my phone.  However, I discovered that Firefox has an app for that.  It's not a substitute browser- heavens, the Ghost of Jobs would never allow such a thing- but it syncs your PC tabs to the app and the LJ links, at least, seem to be sufficiently credentialed to allow me to read my wife's own posts.

Some days I just miss my stone knives and bearskins.

It's weird you can't log into LJ through Safari... I have no problem doing so on my iPhone. Their mobile site isn't bad, either.

I occasionally get the "unexpectedly logged out" thing, though... usually I notice right away because I don't have a paid account, but I'm on the "no ads" version, so my trigger is that I suddenly start seeing ads. :-D

I can't even get to the mobile site through Safari. There's also the LJ app on the phone, which posts fine, but it doesn't render my posts or friends' posts correctly and also seems to have issues displaying protected entries.

Meh. If the Firefox app works, it works.

Try another browser, because I really think it might be your browser or internet connection and not LJ.

Trying through Chrome for the next few days. Which actually render the site better than Firefox does, anyway.

This is why I only use Chrome, my friend...

And I would, too, for everything, except for Larry and Boris Serge tracking my every move when I websearch and not wanting them to have complete control over my information through search AND broswer AND Android tablet.

It's the same paranoia that keeps me from giving up my Verizon landlines to a Time Warner all-in-one package, or vice versa.
