A Little Funny in the LJ Head
Jul. 26th, 2012 09:58 amGo have fun, they used to say. Several times a day when LJ tossed its cookies and I wound up logged out of my account. I'd get a login page, followed by the "go have fun" directive.
For a week or two, it seemed better. Now, though, I just get logged out, and can go hours without noticing unless I try to comment (which will reveal the lack of login) or see a public but adult-content entry that then displays the minor-niner warning.
One consequence is that I may be missing some friends-only stories altogether, so if you expected a comment and didn't get one, blame the damn goat.
I may wind up going back to Chrome and seeing if it's any better there.
----
Login to LJ is still impossible through Safari on my phone. However, I discovered that Firefox has an app for that. It's not a substitute browser- heavens, the Ghost of Jobs would never allow such a thing- but it syncs your PC tabs to the app and the LJ links, at least, seem to be sufficiently credentialed to allow me to read my wife's own posts.
Some days I just miss my stone knives and bearskins.

Date: 2012-07-26 02:10 pm (UTC)I occasionally get the "unexpectedly logged out" thing, though... usually I notice right away because I don't have a paid account, but I'm on the "no ads" version, so my trigger is that I suddenly start seeing ads. :-D
