I can't do that. Edithics, yaknow. I edited the bloody thing.

Still. I can't let the moment go unreported. The author who won me (or at least 50,000 word-edits of mine) in a charity auction over the summer has PUBLISHED, yo!

Maggie MacKay lives in a world that's perhaps one part Toontown, a couple portions of potions from Hogwarts,  but mostly the unique creation of Kate Danley's wickedly funny mind. You will love these people- well, most of them. Even the bad guys come across as Not So Bad, with a few necessary exceptions.

$12.99 for a real live copy from the publisher (and there might be a promotional code if you do a little homework). I don't see an e-book link there, but she's got Amazon and BN links here. That's how I'm reading my final version already:)

I haven't made a dime off this venture, but I made two of the bestest and badass-est friends I could ever want in the process: Maggie and her author. Now it's your turn.

I couldn't compare/contrast until the new one came out, but.... I loved both of them, yet they are very different storytellings. Woodcutter is very traditional fae tae in its telling, but not without a bit of an edge. There's little of Woodcutter in Maggie, and vice versa, but plenty of good stuff in both.

Hope you enjoy:)

This came at a good time, too, as I have been a bit struggly with what to read! Thanks again!
