captainsblogI ended the workweek with three straight days of court in three increasingly distant places: here Wednesday, Rochester Thursday and Olean yesterday. Each got me up earlier than the day before, and by the time I got out of the last of them around noon on Friday, I abandoned any pretense of traveling further to do some additional work I could've done down that way and just headed home. I was so zonked, this morning's edition of Animals on Parade didn't wake me up until 6:30 a.m., and I then slept in until a minute or so before 10 once quickly back to sleep after that.
Did some brief erranding in the early afternoon, and just got to the gym for the first time in a couple of days, but otherwise it's been one for the battery charger. Fortunately, the Sabres are an early game tonight (under way as we speak! and we're already down a goal! shit!), so I can make a relatively early night of it.
Next week is only one day out of town, bookended by two local court appearances, both of which may be resolved before I have to go, so that should help with the rejuvenation, as well.

One odd sight from the journey south yesterday: on the road back from Olean is one of the several locations of this local business, named quite logically if, still, somewhat unfortunately:
I can only wonder if they're in talks to merge with the related Southern Tier medical practices known as Liposuction Of Limestone, Westfield Therapy Fellows, or the one I've been going to recently: Franklinville Medical Laboratory.
(That's a bit overstated. Nothing Really Bad happened all this week, compared to last. We're going to decide on fixing the car versus some other options in the coming days, and the dog seems no worse for wear other than, you know, wanting her dinner NOW since it's getting on sixes. Off to do that;)
