It's kinda weird, preparing for a first-time-for-you medical testing procedure three days after your spouse went through the same experience.
For Eleanor, prep day was Sunday, test day Monday, back-to-normal day today. I kinda lazed through the first (though making grocery runs- let me rephrase that to ERRANDS- for All The Things she needed to get through the prep part with minimal inconvenience). I was then committed to court and closing obligations for almost all of the second day, and wasn't around for much of the time she was home today, either.
I have, however, received any number of Previews of Coming Attractions, from before, during and after. Let's just call this GI TMI, TYVM.
As I write this, the middle child among our three cats has been doing her usual pawing and prodding around my wrists. I just announced to her: Michelle, as usual, you are annoying the shit out of me. Approximately 24 hours from now, this will not be possible.
I do have two commitments in the morning before my prepatory fun begins in the early afternoon: meeting a new potential client, and taking Emily's car in for its annual inspection. The latter will involve poking, prodding, recording various readings and sticking a monitor up to its tailpipe to ensure that its emissions are sufficiently toxin-free. Compare and contrast.

Date: 2011-03-02 02:18 am (UTC)That's a genuine typo, btw- I figured it was just worth leaving in.
(Heh heh, I said "leaving in," heh heh.)
(And sorry about the horrid rendering of that pdf. It's the DMV, after all....)
