These cats, our two oldest, do not get along. No, really.

It's kinda hard to stay pissed off at any portion of the world when you come in and see THAT.

Meanwhile, Eleanor's mentioned our nighttime neighbors a few times recently- the family of deer that come to raid our birdfeeder on the front lawn. It's never been light enough to get a decent picture, but our neighbor Ann, it turns out, has a similar feeder and, with it, similar company, which she just posted about as well:

Like us, her husband is completely fascinated by the whole life-reconquers-the-suburbs thing going on here:) She just gets the best pictures of it;)
