My heart is aching for you all right now... the amount of hatred being spewed down there (on both sides, but primarily Right Wing) is agonizing to watch... I can't imagine living in it.

She probably thinks she's being victimized herself- just like she was the victim in all those pesky ethics violation charges brought against her in Alaska.

I saw her book in Wegmans on a display table the other night and I considered either burying it in the stacks or making some more overt political statement about it. Eventually, though, I decided that gesture would be lost on the crowd there. Since I need to get fish tank filters at Wally World, I next considered grabbing a bunch of her books there and moving them over to the gun section, but, alas, they're probably already selling briskly over there already- and likely more so now:(

I don't get why guns and hate are so easily strewn around. You can be taught to respect a firearm. Why cannot the same moral value be extended to people?

What happened to debate? Compromise? Humanity?

I can't see that from my house.

I love being American and say so where I live abroad. But when all the hate is spewed out this way, it is hard to see the skeptical looks when I do. Or worse, the pity or scorn if they associate me with Palin. The rest of the world is watching us like a bad reality show.

I am sick over this whole thing.
When someone is as bat-shit insane as this guy, it's hard to tell what would set him off. Until we learn more about him, I am not going to blame anyone or any ideological group as of yet.

But when I left an appeal for elevated dialogue on a local Tea-Party blog, I got answers like this:

- I said nothing about bigotry or racism
- "taking our country back" and "going to battle for our country" aren't violent words?
- leaving out phrases like "going to battle" etc. would HEIGHTEN levels of fear?????
