As we say oh so often around here:
Sep. 29th, 2010 11:02 amJesus Marion Josef!
Eleanor just finished some straighten-upping in the garage; it's partly prefatory to making room for the vehickles in the near future, but some, also, is to clear spaces that might have attracted Ignatz the Dead Rat or his family.
She showed me what she'd moved, what each staging area meant, and what she'd like done relative to each of the new and former piles'o'stuff.
As she started into the kitchen from the garage, and I thought about going back out to my car for one more Impossible Dream of finding the stupid check I'd lost yesterday, she looked to the right of the steps leading up to the kitchen, and there, against the bottom step, was the check. Exactly where it fell. Intact.
Had she watered the back pots this morning, it would've been soaked. She didn't. Suddenly the past two days of on-and-off rain don't seem that bad.
It wouldn't have been a big deal to replace, but like I said above: JMJ, it's easy to fuck your brain up.
::hugs for the find, even bigger ones for putting up with me::
