Weather Weird
Sep. 28th, 2010 01:49 pmThat was one of the many nicknames for the weekend weatherman used by "Dr. Jerry" Carroll, the WPIX disk jockey far more famous for his televised Crazy Eddie riffs, but it's just as fitting here, and even more so in points east.
Yesterday morning, it was feckin' cold in this house. Eleanor closed the curtains in the living room to hold the heat in and we almost turned the furnace on.
Now? It's a good 20 degrees warmer, humid as all get-out, and I just drove back from the office, not in a sunshower, but in a sunTHUNDERshower.
Then this just got posted on my wall- be careful,

Date: 2010-09-28 11:34 pm (UTC)Apropos of something completely different: I thought you'd get a kick out of the ATC piece today about this year's Genius Grant recipients. The Verdana Font Guy (http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2010/09/28/130188782/macarthur-foundation-genius-fellows-matthew-carter-david-simon) (plus Georgia, and some others) got one! Interesting discussion of how onscreen fontage is different from printed-page.
