Some memories from this day in 1987:
Sep. 26th, 2010 01:23 pmI just posted a few friend-tagged scans of some of our reception pictures. Here they be again:

Jim and Dennis, the two on my side who I still stay in touch with (Jim's been traveling a ton in recent weeks and we tend to fall in and out, but we always manage. Dennis, on the other hand, could manage- the Mets, that is, far better than the guy who's been doing it;)
----

Three generations of Our Grrls- that's my mom sitting down behind Donna and my nieces; the latter now have beautiful children of their own (as does Donna if you count the dolls and the Dalmatian;)
----

and our other sister, with Eleanor, who lived not much more than a year after this was taken. These shots all came from an RIT student photographer, who contacted our minister days before the wedding and asked if she could shoot the event for a class project. She wound up getting so many amazing candids of friends and family, including this one. (There's one of my father-in-law that I expect Eleanor and I will soon add:)
----

Another three-generation shot; we have this one of Michele and my Mom framed in our dining room, but Jean-Pierre's background shot doesn't come out as well in that as it does here. We love you all and miss you two.
----
Finally, since the two of us were actually both there,....

The odd expression, I expect, was directed at whoever was egging me on to do a cake-smash (or to have it done to me, I forget which). We didn't, and 23 years later, we've outlasted by more than double the law partnership that was the source of such cheers.
I can't say we're still in touch with all the people in those pictures, but at least I still can remember who they all are, and that's something;)
