Check back often, because due to the severe screaming from this latest I'm From LJ And I'm Here To Help You move, I expect there will be a button soon to turn those options to "off" on a permanent basis.

I think they want you to link your LJ account to the FB and Twitter accounts. Which I am not going to do. I make a point of not cross-posting stuff from LJ elsewhere anyway.

I wouldn't blame others for wanting to do so, and for people who are writers and have LJ accounts as part of their writing personae, this interoperability might be a good idea.

But the world doesn't approve of young women like me being as rowdy as I am on LJ and also being librarians, so for my part, I'm keeping my real-name online presences sorta separate from my LJ presence. I'm at the mercy of my compadres not being dicks about it, but whatever, I've made my wishes known and locked my settings down as tight as I can.
