Yes, we read about it. No, we didn't want to talk about it. Still, it's on the national news now and people are asking about it, so I may as well offer the ending and the perspective you may not have seen.

That's Navarro- or as he's already been renamed, Oliver. It took all of a day for someone to adopt him after the Erie County SPCA rescued him from the serious nutjob who was driving around Cheektovegas and the East Side with the cat in the trunk. If you really want to stew in the details, here's the link.

Making it even weirder for us was how much he looked like Charlie- the cat we'd rescued on our anniversary last year:

We never did find out for sure whether our rescue guy got claimed, or re-adopted. It's good to know that this week's rescue turned out okay, and that his previous owner is likely to be spending a good long stay at the Happy Time Home for the Partially Unglued.

Sorry for being a Debbie Downer on your Facebook page.
I'm glad this had a happy ending.

Oh, don't worry. You were far from the first to bring it up in various places.

(That Albany foster kitty I asked you about last week got adopted just fine, btw. For every weird story like this, there are far more happy endings we just don't get round to sharing.)

Yaaaay, good for kitty!
We have lots of happy adoption stories over here.
Albany was all abuzz over this Tubbins for a while.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Navarro's GORGEOUS.

Yes! He totally is. And he looks not too much worse for wear for having been marinated.

...you know, I routinely tease cats that I will eat them, but I'm _kidding_ when I say that!

I tease the bird that I'm gonna roast him, but it's only teasing.

...it'd take too long to pluck him.
