Zoey has discovered the yarn box. That's her under the dining room chair, looking oh so pleased with herself:

That strand around the table leg runs all the way down the hallway, around a wicker chair in the bedroom, and halfway back again.

I don't have the heart to clean it up just yet.

And if the prior entry doesn't make sense (never knowing when Youtubes will be taken down or just aren't available in other countries), this is the story I was pretending to be interrupted by Doc H:

Emily woke me up this morning yelling like crazy after Tasha, our older dog. She was convinced she'd gotten out after getting put in the back yard this morning. Groggily, I threw on clothes and drove around for 15 minutes looking for her, then checking our neighbor's yard to see if she'd crawled under the fence. At the height of the teenage drama, Tasha wandered into the room, pretty-as-you-please, to ask us in Dog if we wouldn't mind keeping it down so she could go back to her hiding place.

And after all that? Emily S., D.V.M, diagnosed the whole thing as Tasha having a hearing problem. I thought, but did not say, "Now THAT's the kind of hearing problem I'd like to have at 6:30 in the morning."

At least I took this as a Sign from God to get her the bigger collar and replacement name-and-number tag she's been needing for awhile. I just got those at Petco; the collar's bigger and just as wide, but they don't sell them with the riveted holes in the collar anymore. I was directed to Michael's or JoAnn Fabrics to put those in using a machine there that installs, wait, what are they called?

Oh right,
the cashier said. Grommits.

I honestly don't think she understood my reply concerning the subject of cheese.

CHEEEESE, GROMMIT!

Sorry for yelling in your LJ, but it was sort of necessary.

Haha! That picture reminds me of the first Christmas that I had The Elder Three Kitties, when they were but kittens themselves. I suspect Misty was the primary culprit, although it's entirely possible that she had help, but I came in from work one afternoon to find the tinsel garland completely removed from the tree, wrapped around a floor lamp, the armchair and heading out the living room door. I can just imagine the speed and agility that that required.

That's an awesome rug! Usually when my cat spreads yarn all over the house like that, my project's been half ripped apart.

It was, and I suspect will again be, an annual ritual when the first of the kitzels goes up the trunk of the artificial tannenbaum for one of us to give the formal Advent invocation:

The tree has feet.

Rug: Tarjay, about five years ago.

Cat contribution: priceless.
