I guess it's a sort of backhanded compliment to us that LJ got singled out, along with Facebook and Twitter, for today's DDOS attack. We must still matter on the social networking relevance scoreboard.

Either that or it's some pissed-off Twilight fans who felt dissed by all the Edward Cullen on your baseball team stupidity on Writers Block yesterday.

Maybe the most significant part of the whole story is the social networking site that didn't get bombed. I suspect the last three hundred emo-kids on Myspace were so upset about being left out that they changed their fonts to blinking-green-on-yellow, loaded a My Chemical Romance video with the volume cranked to 11, and then went and slit their internet connections.
