Broadcasting live from the suburbs of the eternal pit of despair

Rochester, in this case.  I spent virtually the entire workday yesterday in a room not much bigger than a prison cell (and not nearly as well ventilated) with two enemy parties, a court reporter whose hands must be stronger than the Incredible Hulk's, and a parade of my own client's witnesses that began at 9 and ended at 5:54.

So far today? Much better, other than the exhausted part. You know how after spending a long day driving, you still feel the car's vibrations in your sleep? That was me last night, only it was the vibrations of the palpable hate felt in the room between the two sides.

My first court appearance took mere moments. My taxes are done, other than the mailing of one payment from the post orifice down the road from here. I'll be in Ithaca in a little over an hour and then my sister's this afternoon and tonight.

The rest of the week should be incredibly saner.
