UB sent me this email the other night:

If you didn't get Jon Stewart tickets before they sold out to the public, we have great news!

**A portion of a block of tickets which were held for exclusive sale to UB students earlier this week went unsold.  These are $34, general admission tickets.  They will become available for purchase beginning this Monday, Nov. 3rd, via Tickets.com, Tops Friendly Markets and the Alumni Arena Box Office (open Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm).

**We also had a sponsor hold returned to us - these include a limited number of Floor & 100 level seats ($76) along with a very few 200 level seats ($68).  These are reserved seat tickets.  These particular tickets are already available for purchase through Tickets.com, Tops and the Alumni Arena Box Office, while supplies last.

Jon Stewart will be appearing Saturday, Nov. 15 at 8pm in the Alumni Arena (North Campus) as the Undergraduate Student Choice Speaker for the 2008 - 09 UB Distinguished Speakers Series.

If I go (and I'm seriously considering it, since I've regretted missing Stephen's similar UB gig about a year ago), it'll be in the cheap seats, I promise you, so let me know if you'll be there.

Interesting, that Colbert sold out completely, students and all, before his relatively last-minute appearance last fall. I STILL think Stephen should be the top of the Colbert-Stewart ticket.

I was the once and former proud owner of www.colbertstewart08.org.

Hmmmmm......

They are free in NYC - are you sure they charge elsewhere and are not just scamming you?

I won't set foot in the place, but they've survived about a half dozen ownership changes, a major accounting scandal when they were part of (I am not making this name up) Royal Ahold, and endless attempts to reposition them against Wegmans in the market.

Daily Show tickets, you mean are free? Right. This is an on-campus lecture. It's legit.
