captainsblogLet's see. Late last night, the toilet handle stopped handling. This proved, as it does about once a year, to be the result of our ridiculously hard water dissolving the "ringy dingy thingy" that connects the handle to the chain.
First thing this morning, the desk on my phone was dead. It's a two-line phone with a power supply. All the buttons lit up, but no tone came from phone.
Last, but certainly not least (and actually, not even last), I still had NFI where a very important file was. I'd had it in my car, couldn't remember bringing it in to either home or office, but the car clearly did not contain it any longer and I feared it had been accidentally tossed, which, like crossing the streams, would be dangerous.
That was then. This is now.
Ringy dingy thingy replaced.
Phone jack reconnected. Cat reprimanded.
File found, within an inch of the other contents of the same file that had been out in plain sight next to my desk the whole time.
