I'm too sexy for my governor's mansion?

The original plan for today: 10:00 appointment here, noon appointment in Rochester.

The latter canceled yesterday; the former canceled on my way to it this morning.

Thus, before I left the house this morning, still expecting the need to Dress To Impress, I started putting on the Business Casual outfit, including the long-sleeved dress shirt.

Then, I remembered. I'd worn my dressier slacks to church yesterday, and left them in the car after I came back from working out afterward.

So I switched into the only pants-type alternative available: my baggy gym shorts.

And walked down the hall, past my beloved bride, and realized I'd have to account for my appearance.

I asked her, "Like my Halloween costume?"

"Niiiiice," she replied. "Who are you supposed to be?"

"Eliot Spitzer. All I need are the garters for the socks and a $4,000 an hour whore."

"I'll get you the garters."
