Even now? Not bloody much.
I did find one English-language article from yesterday, suggesting it was not a DDoS attack this time but just "data centre problems." What's far more troubling is the massive indifference on behalf of the rest of the world, but also LJ itself. Its offsite status page has been updated perhaps three times in the three days since this began, with little clue about what, why or when.
Whatever the problem still is for me, is infinitely frustrating. If I log out, I can then read Eleanor's journal, and some of her friendspage, but I cannot comment on anything, or see protected entries, and I am getting the very ads I am PAYING for the privilege of not seeing. Logging back in is difficult (the Firefox widget will not work) and, once I do succeed, I'm back to getting nothing.
And thus, as of today, Dreamwidth is my main squeeze for getting my words out. I will cross-post to the LJ, or at least attempt to, but I have also syndicated this content to LJ under this username. When and if you can while logged into LJ, click that, then the "subscribe" link in the upper right, and you should be good to go.
I know I will lose readers who don't want to bother, or who may have just been looking for an excuse to stop putting up with me anyway, and that hurts. Just in the past month I have made some amazing new friends here with whom I've shared words, experience and a ton of fun.
If I had a million rubles (if I had a million rubles), I'd put together an LJ-member effort to buy the service back from the Russkies, but I don't see that happening somehow.
